Horizon4 Terms of Service

Effective 11 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Horizon4, a private, non-commercial productivity assistant built and operated by Michael Smith ("the operator", "we"). By signing in to or using Horizon4 you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. Who may use Horizon4

Horizon4 is a personal project. It is available only to the operator and to people he invites, such as members of his household. You must be at least 13 years old, and you may use it only with accounts you own or are authorised to use.

2. What Horizon4 does

Horizon4 connects to accounts you authorise, such as Google, to show and organise your mail, calendar, contacts and documents, and to carry out actions you request. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

3. Your responsibilities

4. No charge, no commercial service

Horizon4 is free and not offered commercially. There are no subscriptions, purchases or advertising.

5. Availability and changes

Horizon4 is provided on a best-effort basis. It may change, be unavailable, or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice. Access may be suspended or ended if these terms are broken or to protect the service or its users.

6. Ending your use

You may stop using Horizon4 at any time and revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You can ask for your data to be deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer

Horizon4 is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. Automated summaries and drafts can be wrong; check anything important.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Horizon4. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The effective date above will change, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
